Traditional Pool Garden
-
After completing a beautiful new extension, the clients were left with a large, featureless garden that felt uninspiring and disconnected from their home. Despite having a pool and tennis court, they rarely used the space. As a sociable family who loved entertaining, they wanted a garden that encouraged outdoor living, from lively gatherings to quiet moments of relaxation.
-
The garden was a blank slate, lacking structure and atmosphere. With no clear flow or sense of purpose, it felt underwhelming and unused. The challenge was to create inviting spaces that encouraged movement through the garden, making it a natural extension of the home while introducing elements of beauty and function.

The redesigned garden now draws the family outside, providing spaces for entertaining and everyday enjoyment. A fire pit with a curved bench offers a cosy setting for gatherings, while the pool house serves as both a bar area for parties and an art studio. The tennis court is now framed by an orchard, curved meadow paths, and a productive kitchen garden, allowing the family to enjoy homegrown fruit, vegetables, and herbs. The garden has transformed how they use their outdoor space, offering areas for large celebrations as well as peaceful retreats. Now, their home feels fully embraced by its garden, bringing them joy through the seasons.
