About Us
Selina Botham
Selina Botham is an award winning garden designer based in Surrey dedicated to creating beautiful, sustainable gardens that connect clients to the natural world and enrich their lives.
Selina first studied Geography at Swansea University and then worked in management services and IT for Surrey County Council and Coutts Bank as a project manager in systems development.
After having children, she took a career break and realised she wanted to pursue something more creative and practical. Always passionate about gardening, Selina noticed that her children enjoyed being outside in the garden too. Growing up, she gardened with her parents and grandparents, often visiting Wisley, a tradition she continued with her own children. She designed her garden multiple times and began advising friends on their gardens, often sketching layouts on the back of envelopes. Realising she had a talent for visualising outdoor spaces and a love for plants, Selina found a creative career she was truly fascinated by.
Selina studied Garden Design at Merrist Wood College in Guildford and qualified with distinction before setting up Designs for all Seasons in 2008. She has worked on a varied portfolio of projects ranging from award-winning show gardens, large country gardens, bird friendly family gardens and landscaping for new build projects.
Selina enjoys helping people get the best from their garden – she takes pride in her attention to detail and soft approach to understanding her client’s needs. Her knowledge of plants, flair for design, sympathetic interpretation of clients’ needs and skill at creative problem solving enable her to bring out the potential she believes there is in every outdoor space.
Henry Botham
Henry is a qualified Landscape Architect and Furniture Maker. He qualified with a Bsc in Landscape Archtiecture from Writtle College in 2013 and has worked in the public sector for 7 years. His experience ranges from large scale urban realm schemes to local government public housing projects.
In 2020, Henry decided to have a change of career and persue furniture making. He qualified from the Boat building academy in 2020 and setup his own furnture making company. He has also worked on boat restoration, restoring Dunkirk little ships.
In 2023 he joined Designs for all Seasons. He is passionate about combining his love of craftmanship with his experience in landscape design.
Henry loves the outdoors – hiking, mountain biking and climbing. He believes that being in nature is essential to well-being and finds joy in connecting with people and helping them find happiness through their own relationship with the outdoors.
About the studio
In 2008, Selina Botham created Designs for all Seasons, an award-winning garden design company based in Claygate, Surrey.
We work from our beautiful garden office, always taking inspiration from nature. We have worked on a wide variety of projects, from small contemporary city gardens to large rural country gardens.
Every project is handled carefully from inception through to final signoff. We work tirelessly to ensure your garden is everything you want it to be and more. We pay particular attention during the initial consultation to ensure we understand your needs perfectly, then provide beautiful hand-drawn watercolour pictures so you can understand our vision.
From there, we detail every element of the garden and make sure everything is going to be built as we want it.
And finally, we handle all the complications of having a garden built and ensure it looks just as the design intended. In this way, we can help you realise your dream garden so it’s a green space that you can enjoy through all the seasons.
