This garden has a beautiful ancient sweet chestnut tree, but the shade from this tree had become a problem for the clients, because there was no-where sunny to sit. By designing the garden so that the tree became an important feature surrounded by into own woodland inspired garden area, a previously unused space has become an enjoyable part of their garden.

Issues of screening and privacy were resolved too and a new stylish terrace with comfortable bespoke seating has meant the family can now relax and enjoy the sunny part of their garden. The gentle sound of the water feature, subtle garden lighting as well as soft planting (designed for all the seasons), completes this garden transformation.
